    Hello
I am Spanish and I live in my country … I wonder if I send eggs to Spain,. I breed Ameraucana in variety, black, blue and white and I create another race is Arucanas Lavenders UK and Cream Legbar. I regularly receive eggs from the UK and Ireland. It is why I have decided to ask if it would be possible for you to send me eggs to Spain.
Thank you in advance for your reply.

      Hi Deborah,

Are you looking for hatching eggs or started birds? We are still taking names for our 2015 wait list for hatching eggs, I do not have any started birds and based on our chick wait list I do not anticipate having any available to ship until late fall at the earliest. You can contact us at sales@loudenfarms.com for more details or with additional questions.
      thank you

Can anyone tell me if the lavender Ameraucana is hardy enough to survive in Michigan ???? No one here in Michigan has this bird and I am just wondering why also I have read that they have a variety of issues only commen to them…any idea of what they could be? I have a few of the other Ameraucana and they seem to weather just fine but not sure about this beautiful bird. Could you sent chicks by mail after the weather warms up ? I would love to have some chicks but it has to be much warmer than now

      Hi Kristi,

We are in Northeast Ohio, in the middle of the snow belt, where it gets quite cold and VERY snowy, similar to much of Michigan. We have not had any issues with our Ameraucana with regards to health overall or the cold. The Lavender color is still not an ‘approved’ variety so there are not as many breeders of this lovely color just yet which is why they are more difficult to find.

We do not ship chicks but do ship hatching eggs and (when available) started birds, we always welcome local pickup here of chicks, eggs or birds too. I’m not sure what part of Michigan you are in but we are about 3.5 hours from Detroit if you’d be interested in local pickup. Our zip code is 44021.

      thanks

Jay and Jen, It took me a long time getting back to you all but I thought I had a few young chickens and just found out they were given to someone else. So now I am back to square one. The situation is this…I am looking for a few Lavender Ameraucana Chickens who lay blue eggs. I had a brooder last year that I put 9 blue eggs under that hatched out. Two of them ended up laying olive eggs, and the remaining seven turned out to be rooster, AKA the pirate gang. So I just cant get eggs and hatch them out because my husband will kill me if I get any more roosters. I have all colors of the rainbow in my dozen eggs that I collect daily but missing the elusive blue egg. And besides that I love the Ameraucanas and need to have a lavender one. The birds are not for any breeding or show so they don’t have to be perfect I don’t care as long as they are female and young. So the question to you is do you have or know of anybody who might have any of these chickens. Thank you for your time and help, Kristi

I am very interested in your blue Ameraucanas. Are you shipping chicks this year? If not, do you have any eggs left to ship? I am in South Dakota and learned about you through a friend of mine.
    Thanks,

      Hi Kirsten.

We don’t have a pen of Blue Ameraucana anymore but do have our Lavender Ameraucana. We do not ship chicks but if you would like me to add you to our wait list for hatching eggs I can I would just need to know how many you are looking for. Right now based on our existing list it would be mid to late May for shipping.

      thank you

    Hello..
Kathy of CT knows of me… You have one of her Roosters, (ST)eve…
I reside in Tyler County, WV… which is along the Ohio River, south of Wheeling WV…
By chance, do you ever offer up to 1 yr old Hens for sale?
Do you permit in person pick up, vs. shipping of Live Birds?
    Thanks!

      Hi Michael,
I don’t currently have any year old hens for sale but yes we do (happily) allow local pickup of birds of hatching eggs. We do also ship hatching eggs and started or adult birds. Although we are certified to, we do not at this time ship chicks.

        Wonderful…
I will keep an eye out for when you will have some hens available in the future…
I would LOVE to have some Frizzles (I do so hope I spelled that correctly).. Kathy has
one she named Rachel…. All of my hens are the Cochin Bantam Breed..
I am always looking to add to my flock yearly, as it helps to stagger the age of my flock
        that way…
Also, I like to be able to hand pickup and bring home in person… Yes, Kathy can tell you,
I am very protective of my hens 🙂 They are my babies.. 🙂 ~Michael.. …..
